Because I would like to be able to share the experience of my research, the excitement at finding out if something is genuine, what is it really made from and learning how to answer that using science.
I hope that this will be something real and inspiring, the same way CSI inspired a generation of people to train to do forensics.
I would also say that if you find one of the other ideas more appealing then vote for that, because it matters more to me that someone can make you interested in science than winning.

Because if you vote me out I would have to stop chatting to you all about science!!! :O NO MORE SCIENCE CHAT! :'(

Yes, I would like to win and use the money to put on a science play, but the MOST important thing is the journey, how we get there, what we talk about and what we learn from each other on the way (I am learning from you already).

In all honesty I don’t think I should win…I think that everyone who gives up their time and effort to answer your questions is already a winner; all the scientists here have won. (But the real winners in this are you.)
We become scientists to improve the body of knowledge for the world in the hope that it will, one day, make for a better place to live in and make the quality of life for everyone and everything as good as it possibly can be.
I’m not doing this for winning…I want to do it to help enthuse the next generation of scientists.
I would like to stay the course simply so I can continue to answer your questions and talk about science…but that is entirely up to you isn’t it?

I’ll go along the same lines as Roy, there are so many amazing scientists who have achieved more than me and have much cooler stories to tell. I’m here because I like to see how inquisitive the next generation of scientist are (and I must say, you lot are doing very well so far). Also I believe I get a mug with an “I’m a Scientist get me Out of here” logo on it, so whether I win the prize or not I get to have fun, and win a mug to show off in my office.
