You see, that’s really difficult, because I know what I have done today and I have enjoyed it – I don’t want to change it, but if I could go back and still remember THIS choice I could do BOTH in ONE LIFETIME. That idea appeals to me a lot because there are so many things I’d like to do and be… I’d certainly get into climbing sooner, do more writing, maybe go straight for science communication and not do a PhD because it is not directly applicable (although I really, really want to be Dr Fletcher-Wood)… Unfortunately, there are too many things that excite me in the world and it is hard to choose.

I’d like to give zoology a go. I got put off biology by human biology in school, but if I had known zoology existed at degree level I might have persisted and gone elsewhere, even though it means I couldn’t have studied at Oxford, which was a wonderful experience.
