We had no choices until GCSE in year 10. I did “dual science” at GCSE where you do physics, chemistry and biology but only get two GCSEs from it – so the minimum requirement! My school offered geology GCSE I think but I didn’t take it. At university, geography counts as a science and I did that for GCSE.

For A levels I did chemistry and physics, and maths as well if you count that.

I also did the dual science (much less interesting than the duel science) but I wanted to do the separate sciences and get the extra GCSE but only about two others in my year wanted to so I wasn’t allowed.

Same story at GCSE no choice dual science, A level chemistry and physics.

I did three separate sciences at GCSE, and then just physics and chemistry at A-Level

      Hi Ellie,
I took a double award GCSE in coordinated science a year early and then Chemistry, Physics and Biology GCSE’s separately with everyone else, so I have 5 science GCSE’s in total.

I took Geology, Chemistry and Physics ‘A’ Levels.
