Mmm, I think I do if I am cooking or reading or something. Not so much if I am writing, but I definitely use some “science thought patterns” like lists and linear structure and visualising stuff. I’m not always as logical as I would like to be, but I think when you think scientificially you learn useful ways of living not just of working!

Ohhh yes, that is what made me decide that there wasn’t anything else I’d rather do than research. Have you ever looked at your mug of hot chocolate and thought ‘Ooooh, I can see the fat crystallizing on the surface, wouldn’t that be cool to look at on the x-ray machine, I wonder if it matches the work I saw at conference?’ Sadly I have – so yes I admit science brain never switches off. My friends say I’m a cross between the Temperance Brennan character in Bones and Abby in NCIS.

      Yes…it drives everyone mad…but I can’t help it…it’s the way I am! 🙂
