• Question: can Radon be seperated from other gases and put in a bottle?

      Pretty good question that!
      I don’t know…and I’m not sure I’d want to! But let’s think about this…
      Gasses can be condensed and fractionally distilled…so you cool it to a liquid then heat the mixture slowly so that the fraction boils and turns into a gas as it reaches its boiling point…the gas can then be taken off. Radon boils at -61.7 degrees centigrade. The problem is that Radon is VERY radioactive and has a half live of just under 4 days so any gas you collect wouldn’t be radon gas for long…it’ll decay eventually to lead!!
