My mother is interested in science esp popular science. She was never a scientist nor studied anything scientific but she likes to learn cool science facts. I love finding new cool science facts to tell her!

Yes, my mam started doing an art degree when I was at school , but the first year course was overbooked, so she did an environment course instead – she graduated with a BSc degree because she took so many science courses after that!
My dad did a technology degree before my mam did hers, so ever since I was 7 one parent or another had been studying. I think it rubbed off on me 🙂 I would read their books and watch the tv programmes (the Open university did things a bit differently back then before the Internet was a big thing) so I think that even though neither of them were scientists I did learn a lot from them both.

Not really – my mum is a French linguist and worked in industry, and my father was a carpet fitter!
