      Slightly different shaped cones or lower number of cones on your retina (the specialised cells at the back of your eye that see colour). It is genetic and unfortunately mostly males who suffer from it because the gene is not carried on the Y chromosome, so if you get the misshapen version from your mothers genes then there is no matching dominant gene from your father to make the normal colour vision result.

      It’s genetic and an X chromosome thing so men are more prone to it… Cines in your eyes are in the wrong places or intensities.
